Another nice walk

Maybe I should change the title of my blog to the traveling equestrian!

In my quest to get my leg back into shape and to lose weight and be healthy so that I can eventually get back on a horse, I have been making sure to keep moving.

Anyone that has arthritis or an animal with arthritis knows that you just need to keep moving. This moving along with my 10,000 step goal and my goal of losing weight has me going for lots of walks.

Last week I was in Bloomington, Indiana. A small college town about an hour southwest of Indianapolis. The gym at the little hotel was tiny, ick. I don't like working out in a teeny windowless space if I can help it. So, I headed to the front desk and asked if there were any nice walking routes or parks with paths nearby. Just my luck! The city had recently finished the conversion of an old rail line that went right through downtown into a trail way. The B-line Trail. And even better it ran directly behind the hotel and was about 2 miles in either direction.

Perfect! Off I went. It was a lovely space. Wide, nicely designed, clean and safe plus well used. In most areas the path was a wide asphalt path with limestone sides for a softer walking/ running area.

I took a late afternoon walk and an early morning walk and it was quite nice.

Here are a couple pics that I took with my iPod.
